SAP BASIS Sr.Technical Analyst
Role:
The Sr. Technical Analyst is responsible for providing prompt support to ensure smooth functioning of all of SAP & non-SAP systems and various types of databases in Colgate Architecture.
He /She should be able to support & lead individual projects and should be a good team player. He should be able to provide   resolution for the production incidents within minimum time to minimize business impact.

Duties and Responsibilities :
  • Ensure highest Performance and Reliability of the  existing large & complex Production Support environment
  • Upgrade existing systems
  • Install new systems
  • Production System Troubleshooting (SAP & Databases) with Root Cause Analysis skills
  • End-to-end System Refreshes including knowledge of database restore commands.
  • Understand and administer Transport Route setup. Solman ChARM setup experience is preferred.
  • Patch updates, kernel upgrades, system upgrade (Release Upgrade), UNIX level knowledge, backups/restore, EWA setups.
  • Expert in Printer Administration
  • Flexible to work schedule including nights and holidays/weekends when needed
  • Project management -- Defining scope, project plan creation and change management

Experience:
  • Overall BASIS experience – 6  -  8+  years
  • Core BASIS Production Support – 3+ years.  Should be across multiple SAP products (ABAP & JAVA)
  • End-to-end SAP Release (version) Upgrade - Should have carried out for entire (3-tier) productive landscape or multiple dev/test systems across different SAP products.
  • Knowledge of SAP System installation (includes R/3, APO/SCM, CRM, BW, PI, Java/ Portals, MDM etc.)
  • Language Install & Troubleshooting
  • Basic knowledge of Disaster Recovery principles including database and storage replication
  • Should have strong knowledge of Printer Administration.
  • Expertise in two or more database - DB2/HANA/MAxDB/SQL/SyBase/Oracle . Troubleshooting / Install / Patch Upgrade / Release Upgrade / Disaster Recovery Setup
  • Familiarization of end to end solutioning & architectural concepts
  • Ability to document, install and effectively implement setup across heterogeneous environments
  • Good Communication skills and Multitasking
  • Self-learning attitude

Qualification
•           Education: Bachelor Degree
•           Professional Certification –
o          SAP Performance Tuning (preferred)
o          Basic OS knowledge of UNIX and/or Linux, and Windows
o          Strong DBA knowledge/expertise  in  minimum one of the database -DB2/ HANA/ SQL/      MAXDB/SyBase/PostGres/Oracle
